Introducing Sophia, the Blogger General
I feel weird introducing myself … but as the content writer, that’s part of my job.
So hi. I’m Sophia.
I’m Chewse’s newest member. Professionally we call me the content writer, but within our office walls, I’m known as the “Blogger General” — it just sounds way cooler that way. That means I’m in charge of all the blogging, photography and social media stalking of Chewse.
When Tracy first asked me to help out, I didn’t even need a single second to consider the offer. Of course I would be honored to jump on board the Chewse gang! I’ve watched Tracy from a distance as she built her business from a concept in college into today’s lean, mean catering machine. Actually, the reason I met Tracy was because I was interviewing her for her first business, The Dish Dash. We’ve come full circle since then, and I cannot be more enthusiastic to not just observe, but participate, in this wonderful creation we’ll be nurturing together.
So. Don’t be shy. As we work to develop a Chewse personality and culture, this blog will play a big role in that and we hope you’ll interact freely with us through our various platforms. With this blog, you’ll get to know our fun side and meet our three distinct personalities as we chat up different restaurant owners and chefs, keep track of our company’s progress, and bake/cook something awesome in our Chewse kitchen.
That said, let me extend a handshake to you and once again introduce myself.
I’m a 20-something-year-old journalism student in Los Angeles, 100 percent Korean-blooded, 100 percent Singapore-bred, and 100 percent Americanized. I have my own personal food blog at Burp & Slurp, where I write about food, anything that has to do with food, and my life revolving around food. And yeah, I burp like a sailor and slurp like a Korean in a kal guk soo shop. But that just means I’m eating good food with people I love and having fun. Which, really, is what Chewse’s company culture is all about.

Having known Sophia for a couple of years, I’m so excited for her to embark on this opportunity. It sounds right up her (appetite) alley!
